There are different ways of loading scans into 3Dicom Patient, and opening other DICOM files in 3Dicom Patient is one of them.

Open Other

On the Scan Database, you can open scans (DICOM / .dcm) into 3Dicom Patient by clicking on the drop-down arrow and by selecting ‘Open Other’. This will open a window where you need to navigate to where the scans are.

Once you selected the DICOM file to open, it will open the scan that is allocated. There may be a multiple scans in the folder, but it will only open the file that you selected, and its corresponding slices.
