Visualise, annotate and segment full field and cone-beam CT scans in immersive 3D on your own hardware.

Incorporate 3Dicom R&D’s advanced volume rendering capabilities into your academic or work space and experience dental scans from any angle directly on your own device.

3Dicom R&D features a variety of tools that allow you to zoom in on, isolate and and manipulate an area of interest to gain additional information for training and educational purposes within the field of dentistry.

Moreover, intuitively conduct measurements of distances, circumferences and areas using 3Dicom R&D’s Annotate & Measurement tool. You can also determine required angle measurements of the teeth and annotate your findings directly on the 2D scan for your team to view in fully immersive 3D.

3Dicom R&D also allows you to segment particular anatomy within the maxillofacial region and even save and share these sessions for your colleagues or students to work on.

Segment mandible, maxilla and teeth and export to 3D print
(AI segmentation coming soon)

3Dicom R&D offers users a full suite of segmentation tools to allow those in the dentistry and orthodontics space to segment particular maxillofacial structures using a variety of different colours and labels.

For example, dental students can practice accurately segmenting anatomy such as the teeth or jaw using semi-automated techniques including threshold flood-fill, level tracing and island removal. Small edits can also be made manually.

The segmented structure can then be exported as an STL, OBJ or PLY file type for use in the manufacture of physical 3D printed anatomical models for educational or research purposes in the dentistry field.

Visualise Teeth Positioning, Bone Density and Nerve Placement with Immersive 3D & Colour Rendering

Gain access to tools and features to better your understanding of CBCT scans and the maxilla and mandible regions. For example, 3Dicom software tools allow users to zoom in on, pan and rotate the whole scan, or particular regions of interests which have been isolated using the 3D intersect tool.

Users can also distinguish between teeth, tissue and bone densities, as well as nerve pathways by using 3Dicom’s Hounsfield Unit Window feature, which makes it a useful software for education, training and research purposes.

Import Dental Implants and Patient-Specific Components and place them in the 3D Model

Simulate surgical intervention and test the fit of patient-specific maxillofacial implants with 3Dicom R&D’s in-built Medical Computer Aided Design (MCAD) functionality.

This allows dental students and professionals to import, manipulate and position medical devices, such as screws, inside the real patient’s anatomy that has been generated from actual radiological scans.
