6) Navigating “All Files”

The “All Files” section in 3DICOM is a central hub for managing your DICOM files, whether you’ve uploaded them yourself or received them from others. Files are organized according to the DICOM standard, making it easy to navigate through Patient, Study, and Series levels.

Accessing and Managing Your Files

In All Files, you can:

  • View DICOM files as long as they’re within the 7-day storage window or have cloud storage enabled for long-term access.
  • Enable or disable cloud storage to keep your files accessible for up to one year.
  • Share files with third parties, such as healthcare providers, directly from the platform.
  • Anonymize sensitive data to protect privacy when sharing.
  • View audit trails to track actions and ensure accountability.

Hierarchical File Organization

Following the DICOM standard, the All Files section organizes your files in a hierarchical order:

  1. Patient: View all files associated with a specific patient.
  2. Study: Under each patient, you’ll find one or more studies related to specific scans.
  3. Series: Each study is broken down into series, which are sets of images or data points from a specific scan session.

Key Features for Managing Your Medical Imaging Records

  • Audit Trails: Keep track of every action taken on your files, from uploads to shares and edits, ensuring full transparency.
  • Sharing: Safely and securely share your DICOM files with others, whether for second opinions or referrals.
  • Anonymization: Before sharing, anonymize your files to remove any personal or identifying information.

With 3DICOM’s All Files, you have full control over your medical imaging records. Whether you need to store, share, or anonymize your files, this feature gives you the tools you need for seamless management and peace of mind.
