En Escaneos/Registros section in 3DICOM serves as your central hub for managing all medical imaging files and related reports uploaded to your account or shared with you directly or via a tenant to which you have been granted access. All files are organized according to the DICOM standard, making it easy to navigate through Patient, Study, and Series levels. For those who may be unfamiliar with the DICOM standard Hierarchical File Structure, an explanation is provided below.

How to Access Scans/Records

What you can do in Scans/Records

Understanding the File Structure
Following the DICOM standard, the Escaneos/Registros section organizes your files in the following hierarchical order:
📁 Paciente — The main folder containing all studies for one patient.📁 Estudiar — A specific imaging session (e.g. CT Chest – 2025-09-15).📁 Serie — A set of related images and files within a study.
Scans are located in the Serie folder.How to Navigate Scans/Records
You can navigate your records in two ways in the Scans/Records Section:
- Expandable file structure in the left panel, showing folders for Patient, Study, and Series.
- Double-click functionality in the right content area, which steps you through each folder level.

Actions You Can Performed at Each Level
Several actions can only be performed from specific areas within the Escaneos/Registros folder structure. Below you’ll find a list detailing each of them.
