The Origins of 3DICOM by Singular Health
In 2017, inspired by a challenging cancer case where 2D scans failed to precisely locate a tumor, an Australian Gynecological Oncologist collaborated with game developers to create 3D renderings of his patient.
With the new insights gained through these first renders, the surgeon was able to plan an unconventional approach to his patient’s procedure, ultimately enabling him to save the patient’s life.
It is from this innovative thinking, that 3DICOM was created, and continues to advance to this day.
