3D DICOM Viewer
for Android

Included with all 3Dicom Patient or R&D licenses as a complimentary companion mobile app

View your medical images on your Android device while on the move with our lightweight 3D DICOM viewer for Android.
Our mobile DICOM viewer allows for standard 2D CT/MRI scans to be converted into a fully-immersive 3D model of your anatomy.

3Dicom Mobile works on both Android smartphones and tablets

Disclaimer: The 3Dicom Viewer Mobile App for Android is NOT a Medical Device and is intended for visualisation and educational purposes only.

Optimised 3D volume rendering feature converts DICOM files to 3D in less than 1 minute

3Dicom allows you to load in radiology scans in the DICOM format and locally render them from the standard 2D medical image into 3D, turning your hardware into a lightweight DICOM workstation.

Unlike many other commercial dicom viewers, 3Dicom Patient works equally well on both Windows and Mac OS and even on mobile.

Whilst an internet connection is required to log into the software and obtain updates, the dicom data is processed locally which ensures almost instant loading and protection of your personal medical data.

3Dicom Patient users can load a series of Digital Imaging and COmmunication in Medicine (DICOM) files from Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Positron Emitting Tomography (PET) radiology scans and view both 2D and 3D views.

Hide skin and soft tissue to view internal anatomy with the density slider feature

Anatomy isn’t just skin deep and medical imaging such as MRI scans provides a non-invasive way to capture a series of images of your internal anatomy.

The 3Dicom software automatically extracts the density of every single pixel from the dicom metadata allowing you to adjust the Hounsfield Unit (HU) Window values with a simple density slider tool to hide anatomy such as skin based on density and view denser internal anatomy.

In the DICOM viewer, you can easily use the Zoom function and mouse or touchscreen to immerse yourself in your own anatomy and get up close and personal with internal anatomical structures.

Fully interactive 3D medical imaging viewer – Rotate, Pan and Zoom

After the data is loaded, the 3D anatomical model can be viewed from any angle and level of zoom with a common tools for the manipulation of the image such as Pan, Rotate, and Zoom controls with arrow keys.

For physicians, surgeons and radiologists more familiar with 2D scans, it is possible to also pan and rotate in the full-screened 2D views to view each 2D medical image in the series in fine detail.

Easily reset the 3D view with the spacebar or Home/Reset button and use the Navigation Cube on the desktop and tablet versions to orientate the scan in standard orthogonal views.

Cut into the 3D anatomical model with the 3D Slicer tool

Whilst in the 3D view, 3Dicom Patient users have the ability to ‘slice’ through the model in the sagittal (side-to-side), coronal (front-to-back) and axial (top-to-bottom) planes.

This provides the same 2D view as scrolling through the traditional 2D planes but provides additional 3D context as the end user can see surrounding 3D anatomical structures.

The 3D Slicer tool is also useful for removing additional structures such as the scanner bed, providing a clearer 3D view, and narrowing down the visible 3D model to a specific region of interest.

Local DICOM Archive – View DICOM Studies & Series At Once

After browsing to folders or files on your local storage, you can import medical images and store all the relevant information in a local DICOM archive.

Browse the in-application database by patient name, medical image modality (CT/MRI etc.) and date of image acquisition.

Once files are loaded in the software, you can easily find and select from multiple studies and series in one location rather than browsing and loading each time.
