The 3Dicom Patient software, whilst designed to be uncluttered and easy to use with almost no drop-down menus or nested controls, is packed full of features to allow you to view your DICOM images in both 2D and 3D across Windows, Mac, Android, iOS and Virtual Reality. Discover the full feature set below.

File Management

Centralised Scan Database to quickly access DICOM files from local directory or scans shared via the Medical File Transfer Protocol system in one location and drill down from Patients to Studies and individual Series.
Easily load DICOM or NiFTi files into the software from a local directory by browsing from Scan Database and clicking on any folder or directory containing .DCM or .NII file extensions and the software will load in all relevant files from that directory and populate the Scan Database.
Browse through Patient scans in the Scan Database and sort by “Patient Name”, “Patient ID”, “Birth Date”, “Sex”, “# of Studies”, “Last Study Date”, and “Date Added”. Where scans have been anonymised, ‘N/A’ is used.
Browse through all DICOM Studies associated with a patient in the Scan Database and sort by “Study Date”, “Study ID”, “Study Description”, “# of Series in that study”, and “Date Added”
Browse through all ‘Series’ associated with a patient’s particular study in the ‘Series’ panel of the Scan Database once they’ve selected a particular Study. They can view the series and sort by “Series #”, “Series Description”, “Modality of Scan”, “Count – # of images in the scan”, and “Date Added”
Rename “Patient Name” and “Study Description” by double clicking on the field in the Scan Database.
Hover over a thumbnail in the ‘Series’ panel in the Scan Database to see a scrolling preview of the DICOM scan.
Anonymize DICOM image series by clicking on the “Anonymise” icon next to a series in the Scan Database.
Remove scans and models from the Scan Database by clicking the “Delete” icon next to a patient/study/series and/or model in the Scan Database
(Catatan: This doesn’t delete the file(s) from your local directory but removes files from the software).
Load DICOM & NII files from removable media such as CD/USD by browsing to the folder containing DICOM or NII files from the software.
Load DICOM & NII files which have been sent via Medical File Transfer Protocol from the Scan Database by clicking on the ‘MFTP’ tab and viewing any received files
Upon loading of a scan, view relevant scan information such as Patient Name (N/A if anonymised), Date of Birth, Series name and slice thickness / modality in the “Scan Information” panel in bottom left.

Visualise CT/MRI/PET scans with 2D multiplanar reconstruction and scroll through each 2D plane using sliders and/or mouse scroll-wheel
Visualise CT/MRI/PET scans as a single 3D volumetric model with ability to zoom, pan and rotate using a mouse and keyboard inputs
Adjust the Hounsfield range / density values to expose various anatomical structures in the 2D & 3D views using a slider tool

Rotation can also be conducted when the 2D view is fullscreened by clicking on the corresponding ‘Rotate icon’ on the right hand side

Media Recording

Capture screenshots of the 3D volumetric model by clicking on the camera icon next to the Navigation cube, this saves an image to a standard file directory location such as downloads folder or a custom file path/destination which can be set in Global Settings -> Media.
Convert DICOM images to JPG or PNG by capturing screenshots of the scan images in a particular 2D plane by clicking on the small camera icon next to the 2D view on the right hand side panel.
