Opening a scan in the 3DICOM online viewer is fast and flexible, providing multiple ways to access and view your scans, depending on your location within the platform. Whether you’re on the Dashboard, in the Upload tab, or navigating the Scans/Records tab, this guide provides simple instructions on how to access your scans.

How to Open a DICOM Scan in 3DICOM
DICOM scans can be opened and viewed from multiple areas within the 3DICOM online viewer, including from the dashboard, on upload, or via the upload or scans/records tab.

Since the Recent/Activity table is accessible in multiple areas of the 3DCIOM Portal, it serves as a convenient way to open Scans. You’ll find this table on the Dashboard and the Upload page.

De Numérisations/Enregistrements
Opening a scan from Scans/Records.
Le Numérisations/Enregistrements section is where you’ll find all medical imaging files that are uploaded to your account, or shared with you directly or via a Tenant/Vault you have been granted access too.
Understanding the File Structure
📁 Patient — The main folder containing all studies for one patient.
📁 Étude — A specific imaging session (e.g. CT Chest – 2025-09-15).
📂 Série — A set of related images and files within a study.
You can navigate your records in two ways in the Scans/Records Section:
- Expandable file structure in the left panel, showing folders for Patient, Study, and Series.
- Double-click functionality in the right content area, which steps you through each folder level.
