How to Search and Filter Your Scans

Once you have a number of scans in your account, being able to search and filter them to find the one you need becomes essential. In the 3DICOM Mobile App, you can use the search bar and filtering options to easily locate scans by Scan Name, Scan Type/Modality (e.g., CT, MRI), or Date Range.

This guide will show you how to refine the list of scans displayed, so you can easily identify specific scans by modality or the period in which they were performed.

Before You Begin

The search bar is located at the top of the Welcome screen and provides a quick way to locate specific scans by the Series or Scan Name.
Search is handy when you have many scans in your account and want to jump directly to a particular Scan.

Use the steps below to enter a search term and instantly narrow your scan list.

icône violette1. Enter either full or part of the Series or Scan Name into the Search field.

How to Use Filtering

The filtering option is easily accessible from the Welcome screen when you log in to the app. This screen displays the complete list of scans available in your 3DICOM account.

Use the steps below to apply filters and refine this list to quickly locate the scans you need.

icône violette1. At the top of the screen, tap the funnel icon to open the Filters menu.
icône violette2. Use the Date Range fields to select a start and end date if you want to filter your scans by when they were performed.
icône violette3. Use the Scan Type checkboxes to specify the type of scans you want to include (e.g., CT, MRI).

How to Clear Active Filters & Search Results

Filters and refined search results can be cleared in two ways:

  • From the Filters menu: Tap ‘Clear all’ to remove all selected filters.
  • From the Welcome screen: After viewing your filtered results, tap ‘Clear Filters’ to return to the full scan list.

Why can’t I find a scan using the search bar?

Make sure you are searching by Patient Name exactly as it appears in the scan details. If search results still don’t appear, try clearing all filters to ensure nothing is restricting your scan list.
